I, Jem Taylor Minier, am a photographer and videographer from the CT/NY/MA tristate area. My visual art is vibrant and eye-catching, ranging from exciting wildlife to sprawling landscapes.

Having lived my whole life in the same house in rural Connecticut, surrounded by nature, I love exploring what it has to offer and capture its many rare opportunities. My passion for travel has brought me to countries such as Argentina, Costa Rica, France, Italy, and Germany, and I plan to visit many more countries in my lifetime. My visual art generally revolves around nature and wildlife, but I also enjoy venturing outside those boundaries.

I am a senior Film, Photography, & Visual Arts major at the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. Outside of my art I also enjoy playing soccer, skiing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. In the winters I work as a ski instructor, and in the summer I sometimes work with my father installing tiles into bathrooms and kitchens.

“My aesthetic is a lot more colorful and bright than most people’s, but that is what makes me unique. I don’t try to be normal, to go along with what everyone else is doing, I stick to what feels right to me and hope that others can appreciate what I do.”
